Sydney in Colour Sketches!

Can you spot 'Welcome to Sydney', 'Burberry' and 'The Lion King' ?

Not a while ago, I went into the city and took loads of pictures of the dazzling, lively, spectacular Sydney! Originally I just wanted to post the normal pictures but what changed my mind is this interesting retouch function that I found in my DSLR - colour sketch. I tried colour sketch before with the scenic photos but they didn't work out the magic. This function however works amazingly on the city photo shoots! I guess it's because of the complex composition of the buildings, shops and crowd that gives the perfect outline for the pictures.

Hope you will enjoy seeing Sydney from this unique and interesting perspective. Of course, don't forget to visit Sydney and see all these pictures in real life, you'll be surprised!

George Street
Busiest street in the city centre.
Also where all the high-end shops and largest corporations are located.

The iconic Sydney Town Hall.

Westfield is the most common shopping centre you can find in Australia.
This is one of the largest and expensive branch that showcases all the international famous brands.

Town Hall station

A historical preserved building which now serves as another tourist-must-visit centre and iconic shopping centre.
Many people stop by and enjoy a relaxing afternoon-tea here.

QVB is an art itself.
Must check out all these fabulous historical glass art.

Inside the Strand Arcade
Established in 1891, a Victorian-style shopping centre.
Another must-visit for architecture/historical/shopping junkies.

Martin Place Clock Tower
Martin Place is a business district 15 minutes away from Town Hall (or adjacent to Wynyard).
Again this place is featured with many heritage buildings.

'Lest We Forget'

What? A ship in the city?
It's the Australian National Maritime Museum located in Darling Harbour!

All the vessels (also include submarines!) featured in the museum.
I visited the museum on my birthday and absolutely fell in love with it!
Best attraction is venturing into the chambers of the submarine where real navy footages and settings are displayed.

Another famous tourist attraction. (The locals visit too!)
Features a lot of gourmet, a Chinese Garden, IMAX, Sydney Aquarium, Wildlife, Madame Tussauds wax museum, Paddy's Market...
Heaps of shops and full-loads of entertainment - and of course a beautiful harbour!
