Pick you own apples! (Bilpin fruit picking)

Craving for some fresh delicious apples? Have you tried picking your own? Well, you can now add this to your holiday things-to-do list!

During the Easter holidays, we spent some good times in Bilpin, a small town in Blue Mountains Region which is well-known for the fruit orchards. The best season for picking apples is usually starting from late March to May. So next time when you are out of places to go during Easter, why not pick some juicy apples? Here're some snapshots from the day. Enjoy!

The first orchard that we visited is the Pine Crest Orchard. Unfortunately, when we got there, apples were mostly picked out. Regardless, we still had a look around and I certainly enjoyed the beautiful fine weather and the unique orchard experience.

After lunch, we stumbled across the Shields Orchards. It is less well-known but we were delighted to know that they still had plenty of Granny Smith. Actually, not plenty, it was a lot! Time for some serious fruit picking.

You don't need entry fee for the orchards and for all the Granny Smith that we picked, it's only $2.5 per kg. Now you know where to get yourself some delicious apples, and fun!
